At the end of Undead or Alive, Luke and Elmer become unzombified by eating Sue, who was a descendant of the medicine man who started the zombie curse. Surprisingly hilarious movie. ---

Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, where the Martian Reaper takes over the Earth and turns everyone into Zombies with his Billy-Powered machine I like pie. At the end the machine is destroyed and the world returns to normal. ---

Well, vampires and zombie are essentially the same thing–undead ghouls who require the flesh of the living to remain animated–and at least two vampires become living humans in **Daybreakers**. ---

You know what would make a good secondary character in an urban fantasy novel? A zombie trying to become an ex-zombie. You could play it for pathos. She’d spend all her free time researching resurrection spells, many of dubious origin, wear heavy makeup to disguise the grey complexion, and insist she’s not _dead_ dead, just… temporarily not-living, which she’ll get better from shortly. ETA: And she probably wouldn’t like the word “zombie”. It’s an undignified-sounding word, and she would rather not have people picture big-screen brain-munchers when they see her. ---
