# Has anybody ever tried to kill you?

Mugging: Two kids did their best to kick my legs out from under me and then beat the shit out of me, does that count? Robbery attempt. I was fearful for my life at that point.

I caught some stay birdshot in the back of the neck and head. I was where I was supposed to be, my (ex) hunting partner was not facing in the direction he was supposed to be.

I still have a pellet in the fleshy part of my neck.

_slight hijack_

Lead is a soft metal, but it can shatter and bounce in different directions, even very close to 180 degrees. At ranges, people are encouraged to not only wear ear/eye protection but thicker long-sleeve sweat shirts and jeans  
because bounce-back ricochets can and do happen. Granted, its usually nothing you can’t pick out of your skin & cover with a band-aid later.

At least it used to be that way years and years ago before I sold my gun. I’m sure its totally different now.
