One of my friend suggested me to buy tonerilla printer cartridges from tonerilla.com and it turned out to be good suggestion. I and my company have started buying in bulk from them and they never disappointed us.
They actually have a very huge range of cartridges and the staff is very helpful and supportive / cooperative.
They are infact one of the largest online cartridge store.
I have had mixed luck with refilling my own cartridges. My Canon MP250 angerly flashes its out of ink LED’s after refilling, but keeps on printing.
Overall, I think I am money ahead. Also, I have had more cartridges dry up than run dry. I think the tiny amount of antifreeze I am mixing into my ink helps.
There is a printer in my house that has been augmented with external cartridges, so you can see the ink levels and just pop them open when you want to refill them. I thought it was quite clever, although I’m sure Epson wouldn’t approve.
I considered refills, but my wife discovered that there are off-brand cartridges available for our printer for only ~$3 apiece, cheaper than the refill services. It’s a Canon printer, so the cartridges only contain ink and don’t have heads attached. Since most printers have heads attached to the tank, they might not get QUITE that cheap.
I was concerned about print quality, but it really hasn’t been an issue. Probably wouldn’t use 'em for photo printing, but for general document stuff, I’ve have no problems.
I used to pay attention to the “paper modelling” scene – folks that built elaborate dioramas and models out of printed paper. A lot of them are advocates of “continuous refill” systems in which you actually attach your print heads to large external tanks. There’s a bit of upfront cost, but they say the long-term savings are great. The adapter kits seem to mostly be available for HP printers.
i went to a walgreens with 10 empty cartridges. 8 went back the next day. 2 which were black seemed to work without leaks. All of the others leaked big globs onto the paper which then got on my fingers then was wiped on expensive work clothes. So i saved $15 x 10 for all of my ink cartridges, but had to buy new pants. Refills were 9.99.
