# Has anyone been on Nucynta/Tapentadol before?

So… the story is that I’ve been on Tramadol and Tylenol 3’s for a bit of time for chronic lower back pain and depression. Since they have pooped out over the course of years, my Dr. prescribed me Nucynta/Tapentadol to use now instead. I read up on it a bit, and it’s a fairly new medication, and the reviews were not all that convincing. To be frank, I’m very nervous about taking it. ☹

Has anyone here taken this before? If so, what are your thoughts about it?

As a quick overview, it is a medicine that is similar to a “ramped up” version of Tramadol (with SNRI properties as well).

Just wondering if anyone else found it effective. Thanks!
