About ten or eleven years ago I went with my then-boyfriend to meet his half-brother that he had finally tracked down after a years-long search. The brother was about 14 at the time, seemed like a really nice kid.
A couple of years later I came home to find then-boyfriend having an agitated conversation with our roommate. Turns out he had just gotten a call from his “stepmom” (half-brother’s mother) telling him that his now 18-year-old half-brother had been arrested for taking naked pictures of his nine-year-old stepsister. Later it was revealed that there had been some touching taking place too.
He got sent to jail for ten years. I don’t know if he’s out or not and I don’t care. My ex cares, but that was mainly because he told his half-brother to stay away from him and his stepkids, which will be easy to comply with since my ex moved to another country.
