# Has anyone encountered a dog named Fido?

A friend of mine had a dog named Phydeaux.

I tend to use Towser as a generic dog’s name. Like Fido, it seemed unlikely that anyone would actually name thier dog such, but last week at the dog park, I met a Towser.

No Fido’s. But I did have a dog named Benji. He came with the name…I swear!

I guy who used to work where I do named his dog FICA … you know, like the federal taxes. It sounds like Fido, so I always thought it was clever.
