I can understand why the IRS would not want to get involved with all of the Linux variants, but I wonder if anyone has tried to file their taxes from a system running Linux. ---

I did that last year on my Ubuntu laptop. Don’t recall any significant problems once I got the hang of it. ---

Firefox. Of course, Ubuntu and Firefox have been updated a couple times since last year, so there’s always the possibility things have broken since then. I’m sure I’ll find out soon. ---

I’m going to bump my own thread because others might be interested in IRS Publication 55-B, IRS Databook for 2019. Page #2 gives a breakdown by type.
