# Has anyone found that contributing to a police charity

Well, aren’t most police charity donations anonymous?
And besides, I’d hope you’d have a few better reasons for donating.

They usually give you a sticker to put on your car, saying you are a member.
To the OP: The answer is…Maybe. I work in a 911 center, and a quick poll of 2 cops resulted in “If they were nice, and had not done anything too off-the-wall”.
My interpretation of this is:
Speeding 10 mph over -Yes
Open beer can -No
Minor defective equipment -Yes
Reckless driving -No
You get the idea. This brings up the point of fairness\* towards someone who might not have donated. The long and the short of that is this: Get over it.
Of course, if you REALLY want to have VIP service from the cops, quit your job, and become one. 😉

What you are saying is, you are less likely to be hassled for minor infractions. That sounds good enough for me.
