_throws a rock at **digs** _ Yeah, I’m alive, thanks guys, and specially **galen** 🙂 This whole thing has people looking inwards and I’m no exception, I’m afraid. Between finally having a new project (no billing for the whole first quarter makes Nava a scared self-employed) which is having issues starting due to the complication of working online from day one\*, the time I’m spending doing kitchen experiments, that somehow the amount of contact with my family is actually being higher (usually I’m the only one who can’t be talked to in person), and tracking the requirements and restrictions here… I’ll admit to not giving as much of a shit about the world outside my windows as I usually do. - My client had never realized how much information people get along with the first cup of coffee they get at their post. “How do I log time?” “Not authorized” “Thanks for the passwords, but can I also get the addresses?” “IT tells me my profile is created but doesn’t have any authorizations, apparently nobody sent my authorizations request, can you please send it?” and that one I still haven’t found out “who is my boss, btw?” ---

They keep telling us we can do everything remote, but in reality you often need a lot of face-time right at the start of a project just to get access set up properly, and establish communication flow.
