# Has anyone here been to Galapagos? Did you use a tour company?

My daughter is beginning to plan a trip to the Galapagos Islands. She would like to use a tour guide company to plan and manage the trip. Has anyone here been there and done that? What tour company did you use? Thanks.

I’m very interested in the answer too. So far I’ve checked out Gap Travel but I’d be interested to hear people’s experiences.

I went 8 years ago, on a 4-night tour with what looks like [this company](http://www.gogalapagos.com) - I booked it randomly through a travel agent in Quito, but that’s the boat I went on… Of course, in 8 years, it’s presumably had a refurb or 2 - the tour guides they used were very good, though I suspect all of the companies that are licenced to do Galapagos tours use good guides.

It having been that long ago, I’d hesitate to give any sort of reference for them now - but if you have any questions about my experiences then, I’m more than happy to share; do ask!
