# Has anyone renewed your faith in human nature lately?

A couple of months ago my depression was quite bad, and I hadn’t started on meds. I wasn’t posting at the Bronze, my normal site. I wasn’t sleeping (over a month of insomnia). I wanted to be dead. And one of my Bronzer friends, who lives in England, was worried enough about me to want to fly over, just to make sure I was okay. My other Bronzer buds would stay up all night on AIM with me, call me at work & home to make sure I was doing okay. Many of them I hadn’t met in person, or had only met once, but they were there for me when I needed them. And hopefully I’ve been there for them, too.

Sad to say, but no one has done anything to restore my faith in the kind nature of humans for a long time. And it’s only gotten worse. I wonder how we made it to the top of the food chain without back-stabbing each other into extinction.

The expression dog-eat-dog world is BS. If only humans were as dependable and trustworthy and loyal as a dog! Please excuse me now while I withdraw further and further from a society that isn’t worth the stuff I scoop out of the cat-box everyday.
