I went to look for a thread last night ([this one](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=559654)), and couldn’t find it. So I went to Google to do a quick search. Nothing. Odd. I PMed Ellen Cherry, who forwarded me a link to the thread today. I do a google search now, and it appears with no problem.

The only thing I can think of is that Google’s indexing has slowed down. Used to be that new threads would appear in search results pretty quickly.

It’s probably just a temporary glitch. Yesterday, a thread only a few minutes old showed up on a google search for me.

Google has recently made some changes with the launch of [Google Caffeine](http://www.seobook.com/google-caffeine). That might have something to do with it.
