See recent findings- reported in press- that human head size is generally increasing due to increasing rate of c-section births allowing survival of previously-decimated big-headed mutants, who go on to pass on big-head genes to offspring forming now a greater proportion of the general population;

Here in Northern Europe you can see increasing proportions of extra-tall (6’2"+) men which could be atributable to the same c-section effect- I haven;t found any birth weight’year of birth data

AND this week reports that increasing proportion of African elephants born withoot grow-tusk genes as more and more born with with-tusk genes get poached for their ivory before siring full complement of offspring. :slight_smile:

The whole “c-sections lead to bigger head size in babies” article that has been passed around is bogus because:

  1. Not enough generations have passed to generate any genetic-based effect
  2. It includes women who have had multiple c-sections who in the past would have had 1 baby at most
  3. It’s not just the size of the baby’s head, it’s also the size of the woman’s pelvis
  4. An abundant food supply also leads to bigger babies and they don’t correct for that effect.

In other words, it’s the media promoting a “conclusion” that is not actually supported by any legitimate evidence.

Human evolution, will continue to evolve. This should be asked with a question within itself. Once eternal life is figured out, our space adventure will start. Once this happens will humans split and evolve into two different species?

We will not be able to travel in space until we figure out eternal life. Because our life spans or not long enough to exit, in space. Because of the lapse in time getting from one place to the other.:slight_smile:
