Has the Obama presidency made racism acceptable?

Are you really claiming that general booing, which has happened many times in the history of this country during the SoU address, is comparable to a Representative shouting out “You lie!” ?

Really?

  • Psssst! Post 56. And post 58. *

Heh. You’re right.

So in summary, when white people vote it is based on intelligent consideration of the issues, and that for all of American history this has been 99.999% of the case that they are voting for other whites, but when blacks vote for a black candidate it is based on skin color and no other factor.

This sounds like a racist double standard to me.

Not to mention the white folks who voted Obama because he was black.

I’d be willing to bet that more whites voted for Obama because he was black that wouldn’t have otherwise (perhaps wouldn’t have voted at all), than whites who didn’t vote for him simply because he was black.

I didn’t mean to cut you off. I’m very pleased that you agree!

Didn’t the economy go into the tank before 2010? Or are we saying taht the econmoy would have recovered but for all the stuff that Obama did? If that’s the argument then why couldn’t I just as easily say that our economy would have been reduced to barter if Obama didn’t do what he did?

I don’t think that article says what you think it says.

They didn’t accuse anyone of lying. They didn’t resort to namecalling.

And you gotta wonder about someone who’s ego requires that he “sign” every post like we can’t see his name at the top already.

I voted for him because he is intelligent, which is certainly a refreshing change from the last guy. I couldn’t care less what color his skin is.

I liked McCain in 2000, but he was too old IMO in 2008, and he had Eskimo Barbie as a running mate.

I’m merely alarmed that I used almost the exact phrasing as you.

Anyway, nothing more to say, really. Shodan has to either argue that an individual shouting “You lie!” is comparable to the traditional, generally accepted, occasional booing, or admit he was wrong.

Look up (Post 68). Now it’s **Damuri Ajashi’s **turn.

No he doesn’t. It’s Shodan.

That is completely false. 85% of black people voted for Obama in the Primary.

The “stimulus” bill was nothing but one huge earmark that did nothing to encourage businesses to hire people. In addition to this debt festival of failure The President: pushed for a health care bill that raises business costs, halted deep water drilling, and is pushing increases in cap and trade taxes which will further raise the cost to businesses.

And what about my reply to your post, hrrrm?
