I live in British Columbia, Canada and the Mountain Pine Beetle has ravaged this Province’s pine trees. The fir beetle is next in line for the fir trees. Has this ever happened before in this part of the world? Or if another part of the world where an insect completely devastated an indigenous species, how did that happen?
