With lots of caveats, and even taking into account that it may not had been.
That is really a point only creationists would be proud, not all controversies are sensible. Like **wolfpup **said, what FX did was pointless.
Again, you said global, when his op was really about the northern hemisphere, winters and just surface temperatures. Of course, he can claim to be discussing the NH when pressured, but as you showed, the idea was to make others think that it was a global deal.
But based on the available measurements, you agreed there is a pause, right?
It’s possible the heat is in a place not being measured, and it’s possible something else is going on, either way scientists don’t really know what’s up. They have some hypothesis, but nothing confirmed.
You’re the one that called it controversial.
You remember that right?
The OP discussed the global mean, the NH winters and the SH summers and a variety of other data.
Why don’t you just come out and tell me what FX is implying?
I clearly explained that the NH winters seem to be so cold, that they actually cause the entire world to seem like it has “paused” in warming. Because of the way “science” adds the global averages together to get an annual global mean, it’s creating an illusion that there is a pause. In reality, if you look at just the NH warm season trend, the warming doesn’t seem to have paused at all.
Ah, I just realized that some may not underdtand what that means.
NH warm season does not mean just the NH, it refers to the time period of May-October. The GISS map still shows the entire world, it does not mean it is only about the NH.
That may be the deniers problem, they think when I say NH cold season, it is about the NH only. It is not.
Note the cooling arctic trend. Certainly 7 years is too short to make climate change statements. And 2006 was used because that was the first year of the extremely cold winters in Europe. (the US followed with the 09/10 winter)
Overall even the cites used tell us that the warming will continue for the simple reason that the human factor will not magically disappear.
So it means then that if I say then that there is no controversy among the scientists that what FX is doing are misleading cherry picks then you will agree?
What I’m saying that it is mostly a manufactured controversy by FX.
Again, he is implying that he knows more than what the experts from NASA GISS and others report.
Yep, pointless in the end. And give it up. You were caught with your silly attempt at using your cherry picks to show something else besides some NH cooling, just winters there and debunked nonsense from deniers. If you are accepting that the warming continues and as NASA and others report that humans are driving the recent warming, then what you did so far was just a waste of time.
I’m not “implying” that, I am straight up claiming it. In regards to the trends, and the reason for “the pause”, you and everyone else reading the topic also now know more than they do.
Sorry. Linking to an outside statement and pretending that you have not explicitly continued a claim that you were told to stop in a specific forum fails.
This is a Warning that such behavior is not acceptable.
