I’m not much in the habit of putting in links to blogs, but I came across this [one](http://americaforjesusland.blogspot.com/) today, and i had to pass it on. I wholeheartedly agree that tons of stuff that happens in the name of Jesus probably makes him puke in his soup. ---

I wonder if some memetic combat isn’t in order… we could possibly coopt the term ‘family values’ and make it mean actually **valuing families** , in whatever shape we might find them. Single moms, gay/lesbian couples, poly relationships, etc… ---

What are you, crazy, **FinnAgain**? Don’t you know that families come in one variety only? Dad as the head, Mom as his handmaiden, kids to carry on the proud traditions of the faith? Anything else threatens the very foundations of civilization as we know it and as God Almighty has ordained from the day He tossed some land into the waters and turned the lights on. Damned heathen… ought to bring back stoning… ---

I had a “discussion” along these very lines with my grandmother yesterday. Christmas night, we ran across The Birdcage on TV and Grandma got up and left. The next morning, she makes it a point to tell us all that she doesn’t watch queers and she doesn’t think there’s anything funny about homosexuality. Then she started ranting about how she has to change one of her favorite channels because Ellen Degeneres has that show on. I started in to debate with her, and next thing you know my very Christian grandma is so mad she’s practically spitting. I pointed out that all that hatred wasn’t very Christian of her, and she gave me the old “I don’t hate the sinner, I hate the sin, and what they’re doing to my country blah blah! This is not hatred, it’s anger!” My mother pointed out that continuous cold fury and hatred look a lot alike. 🙂 ---

Actually, the Crusades happened 800 years ago, so the Muslims must be fresh out of outrage is that is the worst they have to resent us for. No, you’ve all got it wrong ok. Jesus hated the fags, HATED THEM and they will burn in eternal damnation because their sin was hated by Jesus and they are too. You see the bible is mystical and doesn’t apply to fags FAGS DON’T DESERVE HUMAN RIGHTS BECAUSE THEY AREN’T HUMAN IN GOD’S EYES ---

**Dung Beetle** , ask your grandmother if she prays for the homosexuals. That seems to take some of the steam out of my mother when she is on a rant about someone or some group.
