Another thread reminded me of this. I have some movies I bought through Amazon Streaming. I can only watch it through an Amazon device or a PC. I want to watch it through a Chromecast.

I seem to recall a while back there was a service that was going to come out that allowed you to watch movies from multiple services, and maybe that would work off a Chromecast. Did that ever happen, and if so, how?

I have Amazon Prime and watch movies via Chromecast. I start the stream on my PC and then just cast the browser window to my Chromecast device.

If your PC doesn’t support Miracast, you could get a Roku for $30.

This is probably the easiest way to do it though you may see some degradation from googlecast having to transcode the stream.

Amazon doesn’t have an app optimized for Chromecast like Netflix, Hulu and Youtube do because they want you to buy a Fire Stick and use that instead.
