were a parody of the Beatles, put together by a bunch of inventive minds, including a number of Python and SNL folks. The “Prefab Four” were the subject of a 90-minute ‘documentary’ that was on network TV in the spring of 1978. I think it’s available on VHS.
They released an album at the same time, which I’m glad to say I have a copy of. It includes parodies of their songs from “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” to “I Am the Walrus”. Imagine

and you get an idea of its pleasant lunacy.

Anyone remember hope? She was my neighbor before I moved back in with my parents. I introduced her to the message board, but she got less than 20 posts under her name before she killed herself. No big “Goodbye hope” thread because, with the short amount of time she spent here, I figured no one would know who I was talking about anyway.
