Whynot, I will look around for those OAMC cookbooks because eventually that’s how I’d like my cooking to be. Although I’m single and don’t have a family to cook for, that doesn’t mean I’m not challenged by mealtimes. Grocery shopping is geared for large groups of people in that many items are sold in units too larg for me, and I’d let stuff rot before I was able to use it up. Also, I tend to get into a rut when preparing meals so I’d like to prepare different types of foods. Winnie had a good point when she mentioned that she got to try new ingredients without making a costly investment in something she might not use again, such as saffron. I just ate some Mediterranean Shrimp w/ Pasta, and it had artichokes in it, which I’ve never had before. As far as the expense, if I can get a handle on buying only enough food to make the meals plus breakfast items, I’ll save money on not buying lunch out at work every day, plus having to throw away rotten food I didn’t get around to preparing. I love these new viewpoints.
