N/W AR. 8 cats, 1 & ½ dogs. (St Barnard & neighbor Lab) No change in routine for months. **"Invasion of the flies !!!"** :eek: 😕 They seem sluggish but not enough for easy swatting. Started before any cool down in weather. In through the doors and eggs hatching seem most likely. Is it just because the calendar said, “Fall?” What do you think is best to catch, stop, them? Cheap ‘spray smell good’ kills good but messy on some stuff. Ziplocks with water & a penny? Fly strip? Actual fly trap? Move to a South Sea Island? Tape a fly swatter to each hand and have a contest? Why? How? What would you do? ---

Wait until they get really dense and then attack samurai style with a flyswatter. This works best in a small space like a bathroom. If you can’t get 5 aerial kills in 5 strokes you’re not an Ace. So keep practicing until you \*are \*an Ace. Believe me when I say it’s both doable and way more satisfying than it ought to be. We outweigh them 100,000 to one. We ought to be able to kill them by hand with ease. And yet there they are, buzzing around taunting us or even just sitting there with that smug look on their tiny filthy face. Five at a time; it feels so good. Try it; you’ll be hooked. ---

Did have 2 on my monitor at the same time… I missed them both… I am so ashamed… I bow to you ability to become an ACE … My coordination is a bit lacking these days. ---

8 cats? I’m guessing one of them left you a present under the TV set and the flies had a banquet. Flies are attracted to light, so one possibility is to get one of the led bug zapper things (looks like a big fat light bulb) and turn it on in an otherwise dark room. ---

Cats are allowed in some but they have their own condo at night and litter boxes abound + they like to do their business outside a lot also. I still think they have been watching “Zoo.” :eek:
