# Have I Learned Nothing from Horror Movies?

Back in high school, my church youth group went on a camping / water skiiing trip.

Late in the evening, two friends and I took my family’s boat out without checking to see how much gas was remaining.

Of course, we ran out of gas and were stranded.

Much later, from the darkness, we heard a voice calling across the water.

Stupidly, I used the horn to attract their attention, guiding ~~the killer~~ my father in another boat to our rescue.

It was close.
