Another vote for Theodore Roosevelt, to the extent that any historical comparisons can be made. Said his daughter of TR, “He wants to be the bride at every wedding, the corpse at every funeral, and the baby at every christening." For Roosevelt, everything was always the best and the greatest (or, perhaps, “bully”). He was known to suck the oxygen out of the room. The difference, though, was that he was a voracious reader and prolific author. It’s debatable whether Trump has ever read a book. (Imagine a Trump who could read a book overnight and be prepared to lecture on it in the morning). ---

Who would have thought it possible that we’d have a silver-spoon version of Archie fucking Bunker as president in the year 2019? An incompetent, bumbling imbecile completely unequipped to lead. God damn every last Trump voter. The pathetic babies lost two elections and then fully embraced a corrupt gas bag as some sort of sickening revenge. Hopefully 2020 will be the last time the decent people of America need to take out the trash, but I doubt it. ---

Have you been asleep last 4 years? He is **doing** it. Banging the entire Bridal party, insulting the corpse _and_ hitting on the widow, holding the baby upside down and proclaiming that "_he has a weak chin_ and telling the mom _how did you get knocked up, you are just a 5, 6 tops!_, while having workmen busy putting “Trump” outside the Cathedral and he is getting away with it., nay he is prospering. Would you at this stage be surprised if he returns Alaska to Russia and is punished by the 22nd Amendment being altered to allow him to run for a thrid term? ---

As others have said Andrew Jackson and Teddy Roosevelt were braggarts too, but they at least had done things worth bragging about! ---

Yes, I’m sure many 19th century Presidents could have vied for the title, given the general American instinct for braggadocio at the time (and even now), hilariously satirized by Dickens in _Martin Chuzzlewit_ (my God, what fun he would have had with Trump!) ---

We’ve had braggarts for president before, and we’ve had a few hot heads too. Teddy Roosevelt (adventurer and led a charge in a real fight), Andrew Jackson (a real “charmer” that one, but also a military man and duelist), U.S Grant (a notorious drunk but with a successful military record), etc. However none of them was ever guilty of cowardice. And none of them deliberately sold out their own country to the Russians for personal profit. ---

Archie would never deliberately hurt anyone. He was dead wrong on many things (of course) but he lacked the spite, the hate. And as the show went on, it showed that he was capable of learning. ---
