For all his bluster, I’m a big Teddy fan too. During his presidency he took time to write long, intelligent letters to his children at college, which have been collected in book form. A good daddy. Also managed to squeeze in the reading of several books a day, fiction and nonfiction. Trump has probably NEVER read a book. ---

Maybe one of those strongbox books, with the wife’s credit cards inside. Of course since he never changed the combination (didn’t realize how to do it and the manual is written), the wife could access the cards without much difficulty. ---

It’s surprising that Lyndon Johnson has gotten such scant mention as [a braggart-in-Chief](https://www.nationalreview.com/2017/02/lyndon-johnson-donald-trump-grandiose-bullying-colossal-figures/). Lyndon was also notorious for obfuscating the truth, but hardly in Trump’s class as a liar. LBJ despite his numerous faults was a vastly better President. ---

Was he as much of a public braggart, though? I know I’ve heard of him dancing the twist around the truth until Lady Truth didn’t know up from down, and of him being a bully both in public and in private (including direct attacks on reporters), and of bragging in private, but I don’t think I’ve heard so much about him bragging in front of a microphone. Mind you, by the time I was born he wasn’t in office and I’m not from the US, so all I know about LBJ is third-hand at best. ---
