# Have we lost Codinghorror?

If I could just make an impartial, non-judgmental observation (really), I think there’s a bit of history here that goes beyond just that one thread. Take a look **[at this thread](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/may-we-enable-the-ability-to-quote-the-entire-previous-post/918126)** as an example. To save time, you might just scroll down to the concluding paragraph of **[post #9](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/may-we-enable-the-ability-to-quote-the-entire-previous-post/918126/9)** and then @codinghorror’s immediate response in **[post #10](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/may-we-enable-the-ability-to-quote-the-entire-previous-post/918126/10)**.

It just gets ever more contentious from there. I offer no further comment nor any kind of judgment. Read the whole thread if you want, and make of it what you will.
