I attended one last year (on Halloween). The couple had been together nearly as long as \*\*Rhiannon8404 \*\*and I have (we celebrated our 23rd anniversary this year). It was a very nice ceremony, and I’d gladly attend another were I to be invited.

I avoid attending any weddings. The sex of the couple is irrelevant to me.

My Wife was matron of honor for a couple we know. But middle-aged lesbians seem to be effectively invisible.

I’ve been to a LOT of weddings, and compared to the national average I have a LOT of gay friends, many of whom are married (now one couple with a child yay!) But I am _just_ this side of “invite to wedding”-close with them so I have yet to be to a same-sex wedding.

I get invited to so few weddings (of any kind) I always go. (Last one was 10 years ago).

I’ve been to my cousin’s wedding, have been invited to one other that I was unable to attend. But the genders of the parties involved has never entered into my decision making process.

I haven’t but I would.\*
\*By would I mean I’m not particularly a fan of weddings. Unless I was really close to them where I knew it was actually important to them that I attend or had a sense of social obligation, I wouldn’t. That wouldn’t have anything to do with genders, though.

Aside from several of my own, I’ve been to very few weddings. But one was my stepdaughter which was single sex. Only one I was ever at that I wanted to kiss both the bride and the groom.

\*\*DinoR \*\*summed up my feelings precisely. Apart from family, I’ve only been to 1 wedding, and it ended in divorce. Maybe that’s why no one ever invites me.

But yes, I’d attend the wedding of a close friend regardless. Well, that is, as long as I don’t have to travel very far. My affection has limits.

I answered other, since I’ve been to two same-sex receptions, but not any actual weddings. Apparently, the same-sex couples that I know have this thing about expensive destination weddings. I would have gone if I could afford to. 🙂
