AWWWWWWWWW That is so sad!
I have been accused of so much it ain’t funny. Now one thing that I was accused of I did do. But they overreacted. I had given my opinion in class (backed it up, respectfully and all) and was called a 'crazy conservative" (I am not a conservative) which pissed me off. I called the professor a “loony liberal” (I am also not a liberal) I get called into the chair’s office and told to stop with such speech. “Well he called me…” Chair came back with “Well that is beside the point. You stop with such hateful speech or you will be sorry.” What? For saying something that he had quite a reputation for anyway.
Other things I have been accused of (falsely of course)
Racism: My black friends got a kick out of this.
Homophobia: At this school, this was an easy one. If you didn’t openly embrace homosexuality you were pegged a homophobe. Apparently people didn’t get the memo that tolerance is not the same thing as acceptance. It was thrown around so much that it came to mean nothing. (Which was a shame because no one should have nasty things shouted to them or beat up in an alley or made to feel incredibly uncomfortable) My stalker was gay and it was brought up that maybe I just didn’t like him because of his lifestyle. That one still hurts. I feared him because he was psychopathic.
Freak: By a fundie minister. Yep, God gave women a brain too.
Sexist: Refused to agree with a women’s studies major that all men were rapists. (Oh and when I transferred schools, the Chair of the Women’s Studies department sent me a very nice card saying that she was sorry to see me go and that if I ever needed anything, just let her know)
And of course, the charges that I have yet to get over my anger about. I have moved on and I really do need to forgive him.
Oh and to those who have been falsely accussed of rape, sexual harrassment, etc by a woman, let me apologize on behalf of normal segment of women. I actually have a high tolerance for sexual comments, etc because I believe that if someone is going to make it in this world, get used to being offended by something. Now, if it was affecting the job, etc then I would take the path of least resistence to get it to stop. But it has never gotten to that point…in fact not even close with the exception of two incidents but I don’t count those.
