By “Hard drugs”, I mean things like cocaine (powder, crack, freebase), heroin, LSD, meth, PCP, and other highly controlled substances with high abusive potentials like that. If you took it pursuant to a prescription, it doesn’t count as “doing drugs” within the meaning of this question. It doesn’t include marijuana. ---

I have a hard time with you putting LSD into that category. LSD may have some extreme effects when you take it, but it’s not at all high-abusive. I don’t believe that anyone classifies as highly abusive. ---

Unfortunately the DEA doesn’t seem to feel the same way and I didn’t feel like digging around for a different cite. ---

I have always admitted to trying cocaine in the early 80s. It held no attraction for me. I had a boyfriend who liked coke, and one time at a party he encouraged me to try it. So I did. It made my nose run, and my front teeth numb. So I told him it didn’t do anything for me. So he told me that it wasn’t the best coke, and the next day he brought over what he claimed was excellent coke. So I tried it again with the same results. No feeling of power, or energy. Runny nose. Numb front teeth. If I am going to spend $185 on something that makes my teeth numb, I am going to a dentist where at least I can get a shiny new filling. Now the morphine I got in hospital, _that_ I could get seriously addicted to. That warm fuzzy feeling kicks ass. Not hurting kicks ass. ---

I’m old now, I was young, immortal and crazy once. Snorted cocaine and heroin, did LSD a few times, smoked PCP-treated joints a few times. I didn’t like cocaine much, loved but was afraid of heroin, didn’t like LSD, and hated PCP. So I ended up addicted to speed and alcohol. Got better. 🙂 ---

Nope, have never done illegal drugs. Not even pot. Heck, I’ve never even taken a prescription drug in my whole life. But I’m not holier-than-thou. Alcohol is a drug, obliviously. And I’ve consumed quite a few beers in my life. 😃 ---

You seem to be including all illegal drugs except for marijuana. I think a lot of people have tried some of these things without reaching the point of being a regular user. ---

LSD and mescaline are not addictive. They are not hard drugs in my estimation. ---

Yeah coke, I’ve had some very messy nights on coke. Luckily it gives me such ferocious hangovers that it stops me wanting to take it regularly. Not interested in anything else, the rave era somehow passed me by, heard too many horror stories about other things and marijuana just makes me feel queezy, haven’t taken that since my early 20s. ---

I went to Pitt in the late/mid 1970s -------- it was almost a graduation requirement. These days I prefer IcyHot and Metamucil. ---

Coke and meth a few times. Didn’t like it very much. Mushrooms a dozen times or so. I liked them but it upset my stomach. Extacy a few times. Didn’t like it much either. Too gummy. DMT once. Not sure if it was real but didn’t like it. LSD well over a hundred times. You could say that I enjoyed that one.
