I’ve never actually sat down and written a bucket list but I have gradualy developed a rough mental one since I heard of the concept at 18, and it may evolve. The following things could be considered as having been fulfilled: - Learned to play the bagpipes - Published a book - Visited the Loire Valley in France, Scotland, the Sans Souci palace in Potsdam (Germany), and Southern France (but much more to explore there) Things that haven’t been fulfilled yet include: - Eating turtle soup or at least mock turtle soup - Eating a good game bird dish - Going diving in the sea - Flying in a balloon or hang gliding (or perhaps trying skydiving but I’m a bit hesitant about this one) - Visiting a whole host of places, mainly around Europe, but also in the Americas ---

Current Bucket List: 1. Fly a B-17 (_fly_, not ride in). Done. 2. Ride in a P-47. Not yet. 3. Travel at least some of the Intracoastal Waterway by boat. Not yet. 4. Hunt feral hogs from a helicopter with a fully automatic (machine) gun. Not yet, but hopefully this year. 5. Ride in a tank. Not yet. 6. Raft the Grand Canyon. Done. 7. Catch a large shark. Done. 8. Same, but for tuna. Not yet. 9. Learn to SCUBA dive and get certified. Not yet. 10. Catapult from, and land on, an aircraft carrier. This was just a pipe-dream, but it actually happened, so… Done. ---

Stuff that is done. - My wife asked me to teach her how to shoot handguns. I did, we both just got our CCW permits. Kinda weird. Don’t plan on carrying. My wife got surrounded by a pack of coyotes when hiking, so she might carry then. Things aren’t quite pear shaped enough in the US for me to carry, but you never know. And the professional training was a good thing. - My wife and I got most of our travel done. Well one to go. British Isles Norway and Iceland. That’s this August. - We recently moved, which was a huge thing. Stayed in Colorado. Those where some things that where on our bucket list. But accomplished. Next up - Taking a pastels class. That’s scheduled for May - Learning to play the piano. Well, at least well enough to enjoy it. - Riding my bike more. - My wife took a pickleball class, so looks like pickle ball is on my list. Sounds fun. ---

Northern Lights above the Artic Circle. (I have seen & shot them in the US; but not nearly as strong as up north) \* that’s a single trail run of the Grand Canyon, not a leisurely, multi-day trek. It’s less distance than a marathon, just with, obviously, a lot of vertical. There’s all sorts of stuff I’ve do on a regular basis that is a lot of other peoples bucket list ---

My bucket list was boring. It mostly consisted of projects and special dishes I wanted to cook. Some of them I never completed were restoring an early 1950’s model Chev Pick up truck. Another was successfully making puff pastry apple turnovers. They come out good but not bucket list good. I still haven’t got that one down. Shortly before my divorce, the marriage counselor asked us to make a bucket list of not over 25 items. She told us not to show the list to one another until we came for counseling. Her list was mostly all travel and my list was all about creative projects. The only things on my list she liked was the renting a cabin by a remote lake for a 2 week romantic honeymoon. I kept my list after the divorce. I would add things now and then and remove things now and then. One very important thing on the list was that I wanted to experience my idea of true love, mainly the associated passion for one another. I could never seem to get that to last for more than a few months. I took that off my list a few years ago. One of the things on my list was to do something really big, something that required follow-through and dedication. I have had about 4 running starts at that but at some point, I discovered my limitations and decided to abandon and move on. I have been on my last one for about 3 years now, and it is still going strong. 78 years old now, so time is a factor. At least 3 times a week I want to give up but something positive will happen to keep me going. I feel satisfied that the majority of my simple list was completed. ---

OK, well, maybe you were unduly influenced by the Stones’ song ‘Some Girls’ growing up, but again, women of whatever ethnicity are individuals with their own feelings, predilections and tastes. There’s nothing unique and special about having sex with ‘Black’ or ‘Asian’ women as an ethnic group, other than maybe having bragging rights at the maturity level of a 13 year old. ---

My list includes (but changes a lot): - Wildlife Safari in Kenya/Tanzania - Helicopter ski trip in Canadian Rockies, Alaska, or both - Diving trips to French Polynesia, Great Barrier Reef, Maldives - Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim - Hut-to-Hut hiking in Norway - Follow along with the Tour de France - Run a 100 mile race I’ve already done a few on my list: - Hike the Alta Via 1, Hiker’s Haute Route, Annapurna Circuit, Angel’s Landing, Peekaboo Slot Canyon - Hot air balloon ride in the desert - Tent camp in the Sahara - Off piste skiing in Hokaiddo Japan - Diving in the Caribbean - Places to visit: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Marrekesh, Tokyo, Vatican City, Amalfi Coast - Sites to visit: Sagrada Familia, St Paul’s Cathedral, Ankor Wat - Run the Boston Marathon, ultramarathon ---

Anything I really desired to do, I’ve mostly done: Flown a fighter jet Published a book Traveled to a few interesting places Had a couple of careers I cared about Frankly, the only bucket list item I have is being able to retire. Not sure how feasible that one really is, sadly. ---

If said hog runs any direction other than downwind it’s getting further away from you with no chance to catch it; like when the pilot might hit the _very loud_ burners so that you remain a _hot_-air balloon & stay afloat. Hell, even if they run in the exact direction you are flying, they’re probably running faster than the balloon is flying, which again, means they’re getting further away from you every second with no chance to catch up. We seriously think some lawmaker who thought balloons are quieter than helos thought it might be a good idea without doing any investigation whatsoever. ---
