# Have you ever used Paypal to pay blackmail or the like?

Straightdope has rules about discussing certain aspects of criminal activities–so might some of the answers violate it?

Quite possibly. As would the idea of claiming blackmail as an income tax deduction.

My Paypal account was once hacked by someone who used it for a few transactions. By the time I regained control of the account, I’d turned a net profit of $2.85.

I don’t really understand it, but I guess SOMEONE used my Paypal account for something shady.

Did you receive any accounting of the transactions or just a total?
