Yes. I was in love with a man who was no good to me for various reasons, but I couldn’t shake him. He’s hurt me, and I’d continue to love him. Then he got me pregnant, and all went to hell. He went crazy, I miscarried, and we haven’t really spoken since then. It was such a dark, horrible part of my life. ---

Though I find, the more they are assholes, the less I love them and the more it fades. it doesn’t last forever. ---

Yes. There’s more to the story, but it’s complicated. Although I guess it is the price that Karma demands. Back in the day, I dated a woman who was madly in love with me. I swear she would have ripped out organs from her own body if I needed them. I was just in lust, not love. So I was a jerk. Then we broke up and I broke her heart. Now, years later, I swear that I’m still paying off that debt. And to make matters worse, this one I have feelings for is now married but asks all my friends about me on a regular basis. I’m doing my best to 1/ not intrude upon their marriage (I don’t want to be the dealbreaker) and 2/ never think about her again. But I know that’s not going to happen anytime soon. BTW: This was almost 10 years ago, but every once in a while she pops into my life and the knife gets twisted a little more. So it sucks.
