Yes, kind of. I had a tiny studio apartment and didn’t plan to have a big party, was expecting just 12 people or so. But friends brought friends and we ended up with over 25 people, some of them were smoking and drinking in the hallway, and the neighbors complained. Have you ever broken a bone (your own or somebody else’s)? ---

Yes. It was against company policy, and we knew we shouldn’t, but it was harmless. When I left the company for a better job at another company, the romance bloomed, and we were an item for some years. Even thought about marriage, before we both realized that it would never work.
