Name in quotes = 2. 1st hit is my web. 2nd hit is my name on a web site I built for the SO, but contains my name 'cos I did the lighting for one of her plays and the crit. gave me credict for the lighting plot. ---

My maiden name has numerous hits thanks to a journalist who shares that name. She’s apparently in the Florida area and has a liberal bend. It’s weird; she seems to be living the life I’d once wanted for myself–the globe-trotting journalist. Well, it’s good _one_ of us did that. Oh, 7,860 hits for it (first and last name). Yes, my home page is there. So are some of my online published stuff. I count 4 of the pages as actually referring to me, and not my Cuban counterpart (she married Irish, thus the same surname). Under my far less common married name: 28 hits. First 4 are all referring to me; first two are my own web pages. ---

I am a prolific web mistress, so many of the sites listed are from my own sites. Other listings are for people linking to my sites (especially my art-related sites). I also have a few “reviews” for some artwork I did years ago. I have an unusual name, so I don’t really have many namesakes. There are a few people who show up in the UK, though. (My last name is more common in the UK than it is in the US.) My last name yields a fabulous male model/actor who has some sort of variety show in South America, a singer in England, and a murderer in South Dakota. There is also a real estate company in the UK that uses my last name as their domain name. But they only have the .net and .org domains, because **I** bought the .com domain a long time ago! Mwahahaha! ---

Apparently my name is unique. 45 hits, and they all refer to me. I was a NASA intern in college and my name somehow found its way on a published paper, so now I’m famous! ---

Heh. I just Google’d “Hamadryad.” 4,470 hits. Apparently there is a Canadian progressive rock band called “Hamadryad,” a hospital in Great Britain somewhere called “Hamadryad,” the king cobra is a “Hamadryad,” John Waterhouse did a painting called “The Hamadryad”…and those accout for at least 3/5 of the hits I’ve seen so far. Most of the rest are dictionary definitions. It also hit (in the first few pages) on the SDPeoplePages and someone’s pictures of the NYCDope in 2001. I think it’s funny that my one-word handle gets less hits than some proper names. 😃 ---

nickname (which I use 99% of the time) plus last name: three hits that are actually about me (my work page, a letter to the editor that got printed in the newspaper, and my high school alum page) my real first name plus last name: Nothing about me, though there are two college track competitors (one has my first name, the other has my last name) that keep popping up. My first and last names are also the names of towns in West Virginia. My real first name: is really a place name, so I get a lot of Chambers of commerce-type hits. My nickname: Huh, never knew this. There’s an actress with some fan pages who shares my first name. My last name: Couple of random people out there, as well as info on an actor who shares my last name. More place names/genealogy site hits too. ---

First time I saw her name was in Entertainment Weekly, and boy did it freak ME the heck out. There’s also a student at FSU.
