Has anyone seen an episope in which a girl gets high, shoplifts, has a heart attack in the store’s changing room, hits her head and then dies? This would have been on recently. ---

yeah, something about mixing meds and she was Latvian or something and didn’t understand and her kid sister took over the modeling job cause the fam needed the money… I think they charged the Doctor with something, but I was distracted during this ep for quite a while. I don’t remembr too much else. ---

BTW, if so ,another of the many errors on L&O. One hasn’t"shoplifted" until they exit the store w/o paying, passing cashiers on the way. One can’t steal when still in the dressing room. The plan (mens rea) may be there, but the actus rea never happened. There are so many errors on L&O, if one has a scintilla of legal knowledge, it drives you crazy. ---

On the episode, the clerks at the store saw her put a blouse in her bag, then take another one into the dressing room. Then they found her in the dressing room after waiting for her to come out. They never called the cops or anything, so most likely they would have just thrown her out, since they couldn’t actually charge her with shoplifting. ---

**Karomon** , the episode was entitled _House Calls_ (your friend is Alexis, no?) and it originally aired on May 7, at the end of the season, so if NBC is going to rerun it this summer, it’s going to be later rather than sooner, probably August or September. TNT (the cable station) shows reruns every evening at 7 and 8, and they’ll be picking up this season’s shows in the fall, so if NBC doesn’t rerun it this summer for whatever reason (though I don’t believe that they’re pre-empting any of the L&Os very much, if at all, so they should) you will probably be able to see it on TNT, though they don’t show the episodes in order, so knowing when will require some watching of the TV guide. I’m a Law & Order junkie, and I missed part of this ep so I’m keen to see it again and will be watching for it. if I note that it will be on, I’ll e-mail you. ---

This was on a couple of weeks ago. Episode summary: Russian girl drops dead in store. Russian girl was seeing a quack doctor (who had patients that swore by him) for migraines. She was on another medication for asthma (I think) through another doctor but she didn’t tell the quack doctor this because she was in so much pain she needed help. Russian girl is the only one in the family working as a model. Russian girl’s younger sister read the medicine’s directions to her and screwed it up. Instead of telling her “take one every 24 hours” she told her “take one every 2-4 hours” — bringing on her death. They find this out when they get the sister on the stand. I can’t remember if the doctor got off or not, though. ---

Yes, the doctor got off because the sister lied about the 24/2-4 hours thing. They made that pretty clear.
