Having parties with alcohol hosted by sororities instead of frats a good solution?

To both?

I think this is the correct analogy, and that’s the problem.

Frats throw parties to lure young women to their house. College-age women, as a group, traditionally have little need to do much of anything to lure men. If a sorority throws a party that’s open to all the guys on campus, they’ll have far more guys than they can deal with, trying to get into their party.

I don’t really buy that either, but keep in mind there’s an enormous amount of waste at parties and the percent wasted probably increases as people get drunker. Someone starts drinking a beer, puts it down and can’t find it or wants to play it safe, someone spills beer all over the couch, … and so on.

Drunk people have poor math skills.

Yeah, but what do they do when they find out that the actual rapists are Brian, Greg, Dane, Anthony & Geoff…?
