I pret near busted when it got to the end of the _Police Woman_ sequence and flashed the titles: **This Week’s Episode: LADY COP DOWN!** You couldn’t come up with a better parody line. Anyway, watching that intro made me realize that this show is about a lot more than Angie Dickinson’s rack. It’s about her legs, ass, and belly as well. And also her startled expression as she is grabbed, slapped, and otherwise manhandled. Then she blows away a black woman with a shotgun. ---

There is a fine laid-back version of the Hawaii Five-O theme done by the Blue Hawaiians, called “Martini Five-O”. Annoyingly, the only version up on youtube has been corrupted by the addition of Bob Marley vocals, but [here](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43GIMSL2Bwg) are the Blue Hawaiians doing the Dick Tracy theme. ---

It has (in addition to classics from the '60s) newer stuff from the likes of Laika and the Cosmonauts, the Aqua Velvets and the Mermen. Highly recommended. ---

What, no love for the [homespun and prosaic](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMKKXwQ6Lus)? I loved the theme from _The Waltons_. Besides, being a trumpet player myself in junior high and high school, I remember my entire family sitting down to watch the show in the evening – my siblings, my parents and even my grandparents when they lived with us for a while. It was on of the few things we did together. Our band even had the theme as part of our repertoire for a while.
