# Hawaiian shirts

Any of my fellow Dopers know any online stores that sell Hawaiian shirts? I’m living up in Maine, so the stores aren’t exactly packed with them.

When I was in Hawaii, I learned that the Hawaiians consider the best Aloha shirts to be the ones that the pattern matches up where the shirt buttons. They all made fun of the Tommy Bahama shirts, because although they’re high quality fabric, they all mis-match in the front.

The ones we got the most compliment on are a shirt I found at a resale shop in Minneapolis in 1990 that I bought for $5, and a homemade shirt that Mr. Athena inherited from his father when he died. Mr. Athena’s mother had made it for him many years ago.

I went to Albertsons the other day, they have them very nice & only $10 each, beleive it or not.
