i have quite a collection of scooby doo hawaiian shirts. this year i bought what i thought to be the ultimate in souvenir wear; a san diego hawaiian shirt. it is great. it has all the tourist places on it, and is extremely bright. ---

umm, not apostrophe. They acidentily put an apostrophe in the neon sign for “The Hawai`i Convention” center and locals weren’t happy. They had to spend beaucoup money to replace it and put in the proper glottoral stop, which I believe is called ikea.The go different directions. Although truth is every culture has just the same variety, just go down to your local trailer park. The best part about Aloha, or Hawaiian shirts is that here they’re considered dressed up. Depending on your work, you can wear them as your uniform. Or to a wedding. What did Homer Simpson say about them? And if they’re too expensive, they’re really easy to make. Patterns are simple. It quite a feeling to wear clothes that you made with your own hands. Oh, and that bodacious hula girl in Waikiki? She’s got nipples man! ---

All the Hawaiian shirts in the world, huh??? I don’t think there’s a closet big enough for them all and if there was, I scared to death considering my Hawaiian shirt is one of my better shirts if not the best. I’m sorry but I’m keeping mine. ---

I just wanna comment on the fact that I’m wearing one now. It even has coconut buttons. Love 'em and have, ohhh, maybe 7 or 8. ---

My son is in the Navy on a little tropical island called Diego Garcia. He says out there really bad Hawaiian shirts are a conversation piece. I’ve found and sent some really, amazingly bad ones. So you’ve got some traveling to do to get the last of them!! ---

Don’t forget eBay. There are hundreds of hits if you search “aloha shirt” there. My problem is finding extra-tall sizes. Somehow the effect is lost if one’s navel is exposed. ---

I have two, both of which I will probably be buried with: my black one with palm trees and bright pink flamingoes (my “wackier” Hawaiian shirt) amd a light blue one with a nice palm tree-and-beach pattern (my “dressier” Hawaiian shirt). My high school synchro team’s mascot was the pink flamingo, and I used to get handsome offers to sell my flamingo shirt. \* Never! \* They’re so cheesy, and absolutely huge on me, but I’m compelled to wear them, alone in summer, or with a long-sleeved T-shirt underneath in the winter. ---

I got a Hawaiian shirt from a friend on Maui & it was silk, these are the best. Our local Albertsons aka Luckys, has cotton ones for like $12.00 for some reason. ---
