While I certainly don’t agree with the sentiment, since I’m happy and exclusive with my wife, the T-shirt slogan, “No matter how hot she is, there’s at least one guy who’s sick of her shit,” pretty much sums up the mindset you’re looking for. ---

I read recently that plenty of people who cheat are happy in their marriages. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if this was the case with Tiger. I don’t think he needs to be sick of his wife. It could just be his ego getting the best of him and thinking he can get away with anything, since in most aspects of his life he’s wildly successful. I agree that a woman who’s not independently wealthy and leaves a rich guy for an irregularly employed layabout\* is going to get the same deal. A woman who leaves a remarkably handsome guy for an ugly guy of similar means will probaby also get some of the same. - Sure, it’s not Tiger Woods money, but plumber is not the best example, IMHO. ETA: Also, I realize Dan Savage is a professional, but I think he missed the boat on that one. Sometimes I don’t think he gets straight couples all that well. It sounds to me like that guy wants to have sex with someone he doesn’t, and doesn’t have to, respect. Not any more honorable, but I don’t see him getting in touch with his inner love for “trashy” women. ---

Sounds like what turns the guy in the Savage article’s crank is having sex with women he can despise (and, presumably, treat like shit while feeling superior to). It isn’t that the guy is too cowardly to admit he likes chubby women - it’s that he has a sadistic streak. The perfect partner for him isn’t a bold and beautiful self-confidently bigger lady for a loving relationship - such a woman wouldn’t have much interest for him; what he wants, seemingly, is a ‘trashy’ maschocist. ---
