Oh, you do not want me to link to that.
That’s worthwhile subject of discussion- which means it’s not a topic I’d get into with a craven, mouthbreathing partisan hack.
You, as always, care less about a conversation and more about just talking and talking and talking. You could do that with a blog and you could turn off comments so no one could call you dumb. To your face.
Which is defined as the first person who blames the President.
You are dumb.
No, it’s defined as you. For example instead of actually discussing the topic, you’re using it in yet another whiny attempt to change the subject so people will stop calling you out on your errors, bad logic, and irritating behavior.
I love conversations very much. That’s why I respond to what people say, quote them, everything. It’s a great thing.
And I don’t turn off comments when people call me dumb, just like I don’t put any posters here on ignore. Getting called dumb is part of the territory of posting things people don’t agree with or like. The problem here is that the very people who call others dumb are themselves blithering idiots but don’t get called on it because they run in a pack.
It’s also part of the territory of copy and pasting talking points, making constant factual errors, ignoring corrections, acting like a weasel, and pissing and moaning about being ill-treated.
Aw, do you want me to bend over and take a spanking now? Is this what you’d like to discuss, the many colors of my awfulness?
My actual motivation, because I don’t mind spending 50 more pages talking about me, is just to throw an actual topic into the mix. If I posted it elsewhere or commented on someone else’s thread about the same topic(yeah, as if anyone here would actually post an article that makes the President look bad), then I’d be “ruining” a thread you might like. So we can talk about it here, and if you hate this thread you can always leave it.
Says the guy who merely made an “error” which was not acknowledged in the thread, and who shifted his argument in the process. Are you arguing that the fact you only got busted once, not an hour after I actually started trying to find an example of you screwing up, makes you better than me? Keep posting ,there will be more. I’m sure there’s all kinds of things you say every day that you have no idea are wrong. The fact that you’ve been here years without ever being challenged on that commonly used(and wrong) talking point is compelling evidence of that.
I already explained why your posts are shit. Right now I’m just dealing with your whining and your attempts to distract people. It’s annoying because it betrays your low opinion of the people you are talking to- you think that you can really fool people by abruptly changing the subject. It takes two to have a conversation, you dimwit. Your arrogance is that much more galling given your piss-poor track record in debates.
So I take it you don’t want to talk about the administration’s failure to get competent help setting up healthcare.gov?
And I’m not changing the subject. We can talk about more than one thing at once. It’s a Pit thread, no standards here.
For example, let’s talk about how Marley has spent years on a discussion board where his ignorance has been cultivated and encouraged, rather than fought. I can start a new thread if you like. Maybe when I get a few more examples of you saying really moronic things.
No- once again you’re simply making things up. I’m not saying I’m better than you. I am saying that I’ve seen hundreds of people argue politics around here, and you might be the worst at it. I can’t think of a single thing you’re not terrible at.
Not in this setting and not with you, no. I’d rather discuss it with someone intelligent who is interested in the subject itself, not just using it because he doesn’t like it when people tell him he’s wrong.

You’ve been here about as long as I have, idiot. Minus some breaks when things were going badly for Republicans.
And this is a problem for you why? Maybe you haven’t been around much, but there are idiots on every discussion board, including this one. Especially this one, actually, although it wasn’t always that way(didn’t SDMB briefly require membership to post?). Doesn’t ruin my enjoyment, don’t see why it would be an issue for you.
I’m here now. Hard to get much lower than right now. The Bush years were no picnic either. I did however, miss SDMB when the Tea Party had their triumphant election. For fun I think I might want to read some threads preceding that win and just after.
Why don’t I like reading the excretions of arrogant morons? Because they’re arrogant morons. The thing speaks for itself.
He lied about supporting a public option too. I’m shocked to find a politician who changes positions.
Hilarious. Your enjoyment isn’t being ruined because you’re the idiot. The idiot always enjoys himself.
Then I would suggest it is you who needs a blog. Or a forum with rules more to your liking, where people can get banned for being wrong and not admitting it or changing the subject or whatever other beefs you have.
Or, just start your own forum. Lots of people do it and many of them go on to have thousands of users. I was in on US Politics Discussion Forum when some guy named Marc started it up and I was one of the first 100 users. At Town Square Exiles, it was a board started by one guy annoyed with Ebay’s Town Square forum and started his own. Tons of people followed him.
Oh, but wait, that won’t do because then you can’t take advantage of Cecil’s reputation to make yourself seem smarter.
that was not actually a lie. He backed away from that one as part of negotiations. The mandate was a different case. He volunteered that it was needed from the start of work on the bill. He didn’t reluctantly give it up to please conservative Democrats like he did with the public option.
