Oh! The plot thickens! Yeah, there was one kid in my art class in tenth grade who liked drawing and painting scantily clad ladies. The art teachers didn’t say boo to a goose-but one of the English teachers (we shared the room with her) was a bit disturbed by a portrait he did of Aphrodite. A naked, grey skinned alien looking thing with these MASSIVE breasts and big honking bright red nipples. It was just freaking bizarre. My art teacher just laughed. ---

Completely absurd to get an F because of subject matter. Did the teacher graduate from the Nazi school of art or something? I can’t imagine an education in the arts and NOT dealing with nudity at some point. ---

In 7th, I did a sculpture of a completely naked lady & it was a hit & I got an A. I still have it. ---

In our school, the art teacher wouldn’t really hava a problem with that, she just wouldn’t let you display it at school. ---

Reminds me of an incident in a high school government class. The teachers assignment was to create a political poster with any view, nothing was off limits, and it would be hung in the class. The teacher was a rabid liberal and environmentalist, so one young woman decided to tweak him a bit and drew a giant beaver in a tree. The caption: “Save a logger, eat a beaver.” He displayed it long enough to see if the english teacher down the hall could pick out the one that was most questionable. Apparently it took her about 2 seconds. I have no idea if the student knew what she’d written, but she still got a good grade. ---

**SHAKES** , I hate to be a whiner, but didya know that when you press enter after each “line” (as it appears on your screen) it ends up looking all wonky and hard-to-read for other folks? Most art teachers have enough of a studio life0drawing background for this not to be an issue. Sounds like this teacher was trained to be a grammar teacher or something and drew the short straw at Tom Landry HS. Any idea what the teachr’s background is?
