The three motivators of Trump that explain all of his actions: greed, ego, and spite, and I think that greed is really a subset of ego, since like most of the extremely wealthy, money for him is less about being able to buy things to make you happy as it is a way to keep score. ---

I was wrong here – he only pardoned most of the “hostages” (his words). He commuted the sentences of the more violent ones, cop killers, etc. All of them are getting freed though, so I was probably close enough. ---
