Inspired by [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=10184496) thread I recorded the sentence, [“He thinks all short men rest on their laurels.”](http://www.box.net/shared/98kc6ra046) I’m from Dublin, Ireland. For the laugh I recorded a bit of the [Gettysburg Address](http://www.box.net/shared/oiyvkql44r) too. Okay, your turn. Record the sentence and post it online for the rest of us to hear, then just say where you’re from or where you grew up. ---

Shit. Why oh why did you do this to me? I already had a huge doper crush on you and now a voice with an Irish accent? Ugh, just shoot me – it will be easier than my husband finding out. I looked everywhere for my microphone, no can find, if I find it later, I will do my Southern-but-not-quite-Southern drawl for you guys to laugh. ---

I’d love to record but I have no idea where my microphone is. I don’t think I have an accent at all, but my ex-girlfriend who is from Boston is convinced I have a southern accent. I think I’m just accent-less, which earns me -2 sexy points everywhere. ☹ ---

Go to Britain, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, wherever. They’ll all be (rightly) convinced you have an accent. ---
