Passover starts tonight, so I’m going to be away from the boards for a little while. So far, it’s looking like we might do the coffee thang on Thursday or Friday. I’ll tell you all how it goes. I mean we never dated EACH OTHER. Ive dated other people and I… think… hes gone out with a few other people, although knowing him, I dont think they were real “dates” ---

Okay…I’m back from my mom’s place. The seders and the last couple of days have been fun, but I’m glad to have been liberated from a surfeit of family love and togetherness. In any case…it’s looking like we’ll be doing the coffee cha-cha on Thursday evening. I’ll keep you all posted. ---

Coffee time update, here. I got word this Monday that I don’t have an assistantship for summer. Since I’m not supported by a grant, that means I get zero, zip, nada, nothing at all from July through September. There are a lot of other TAs in my position, and I’m going to have to get a move-on if I want to compete with them for the few decent jobs out there. So I’m brushing up my resume and desperately seeking posted ads, contacts, etc. All this is by way of saying that I’ve asked to postpone the coffee thing until this weekend. Sunday, I’m thinking. I hope he doesn’t take all this rescheduling stuff as a sign of lack of interest. Ack! ---

Oh, my. Only 16 hours to go (I need a life so bad, don’t I) and I have absolutely nothing to wear. And tomorrow’s gonna be a workday well-packed with crap. I actually ran out to Meijers on an emergency clothing acquisition mission. Sad, I know. I’m already freaking out. I haven’t freaked out like this in a good 10 years, minimum. I’m too old for this angst! I’m almost 30, already. Aren’t we supposed to gain in inner strength, serenity, and wisdom as we get older? And, of course, my Spanish still sucks. And I can’t sleep. Ack! ---

And I’m breaking out, on top of everything else. And I had a haircut a few days ago that makes me look like I have a dead marmoset on my head. I could put little clips into it, but then all I have is a dead marmoset with clips. Oy. ---
