Got up, drove in to irk experienceā€¦ and the weather was so utterly diabolical that they basically said they had nothing for us to do so we could go home if we wanted. Hung round for a bit in their rather good library to see if it cleared up or they thought of something, then came home again. Itā€™s raining sideways and the paths were practically streams, so I can see their point, but I had my good waterproofs on, and I only have one more day there, so it was a bit of a disappointment to just turn round and home home. Oh well, I have skool irk I should be getting on with, 'cos Iā€™ll be away for the weekend so I ainā€™t doing any then. ---

Iā€™ve got a meeting with the boss this afternoon! :eek: No, Iā€™m not in trouble. Thereā€™s a crapload of files that need to be converted to .dxf format so one other drafter and I will divvy them up. Sounds tediousā€¦ but it all pays the same. Leftover pasta for lunch - yum! Thereā€™s a pool going around for when our Config Manager squeezes out her baby next month. I donā€™t do pools. And apparently neither does anyone else in this group. At least not baby pools. I like Renee and all, but thereā€™s another babyā€™s impending arrival thatā€™s just a bit more important to me. šŸ˜ƒ ---

Plumbers came back andā€¦left again because they need a different tool (apparently the way my sink piping was installed was different than all other sink piping in the universe). Maybe get water tomorrow. Otherwise it is warm (yeah) and raining (boo). ---

Back to last weekā€¦just got the email back, they consider Canary Islands to be Africa so itā€™s still in consideration for going later this year, but first I am waiting for the end of the month to see if Iā€™ve won the lottery for NYM. ---

Oy! Laying out of irk today. When I woke up, my blood sugar was only 55. :eek: It took until around lunch time to get it up to 80. Itā€™s not a totally lost day though; Iā€™ve had a warm puppy curled up next to me for the duration. ---

\*\* Wifey\*\* has decreed that tonightā€™s dinner shall be pizza. šŸ˜ƒ Specifically a heart shaped pepperoni pizza as advertised by our local take-n-bake place. I think sheā€™s tired of the weird stuff I make for dinner. Thatā€™s okay with me. **MetalMouse** , Iā€™ve never known a plumber to not have a large truck, or van, chock full of arcane tools they hardly ever use. My money is on they had someplace theyā€™d rather be. Answering machine just got a call from my new pharmacy. Apparently they have filled my prescription that I called in and left a message about, and they want me to come get it, right now! šŸ˜› So Iā€™ve got that to look forward to today. Theyā€™re next door to Walmart, so I can duck in there and maybe score some on-sale coffee. Iā€™m a multi-tasker, I am! šŸ˜ƒ OMS howled in his sleep about 6am this morning. šŸ˜• Iā€™ve never heard him howl before. He hardly ever even barks. And now he has an assistant (Yorkie) to bark at the[del] mailman[/del] mailperson and other sketchy monsters, for him. We havenā€™t watched much olympics at all. We kinda like the ice dancing stuff, and I like curling :eek:, but the rest of it bores us both. I think Iā€™d like the biathlon if they used real guns, but they didnā€™t ask me. Happy Hump Day! _ **Happy Valentineā€™s Day!** _ Notice how well those two days go together. šŸ˜ƒ As my Russian friend used to say, ā€˜Only in America do you have ze day for ze humpf. I will tell my husband that it is American law, that one must humpf on ze humpf day!ā€™ I always wonder, does the apostrophy go before or after the ā€˜sā€™ in Valentines? I think before since there was only one St. Valentine, however, it coulld be plural as in all the Valentines out there celebrating. Itā€™s a cloudy 46 degrees outside. I expected it to feel wamer but there is a bit of a chill. The furnace inspection is done and all is good. The dog behaved nicely, I was a little worried because we almost never have visitors. However, he associates the doorbell with _PIZZA!_, so he thinks the doorbell is a positive thing. I checked things out with Petco and their cut off for puppy play time is 6 months, so Ripple is too old. PetSmart up here doesnā€™t seem to have puppy or adult playtime. They have it, just not up here. I would love to see a pug do agility, it would have to be cute. ---

Slow your roll there buddy. I donā€™t need the play by play, just ā€œI got sick 5 times.ā€ Poor guy. ā˜¹ Donā€™t wanna go to the market, but I will. I thought we were going to get snow this morning, but it warmed up just enough that we got really cold rain instead. ---

**sari** , check out community organizations. One of ou local ones offers basic puppy training and socialization for dogs up to a year old and theyā€™re free. Nelson is signed up for next month. My BG is back up to normal and Iā€™m messing around in the studio. I sketched a scrapbook layout about the Great Depression with pics and documents from Dadā€™s side of the family. Iā€™m in the process of making copies of the orginals now. ---

Howdy Yā€™all! We got Ashed and afterward I went to the Pubic Stoā€™ beinā€™ as today is geezer day. We have supped and all is well. St. Valentine is not recognized in the Anglican church. He is not listed in _Lesser Feasts and Fasts_. Thatā€™s a book. Luteruns donā€™t hold to him either it appears. BTW major feasts and fasts are listed in _The Book of Common Prayer_ Oh and since it is now Lent, we are usinā€™ the Rite I Episcopal service. I love me some Rite I! Itā€™s the one with all the funny words. Thus endeth todayā€™s lesson. ---
