> He was also in Very Bad Things where his character was a lot like J.D. in Heathers.

Since it’s been bumped anyways, I’ll mention my pet theory: Very Bad Things is an alt-future sequel to Heathers, in which JD survives the ending of Heathers, and takes on a new identity. There’s even a call back: When Slater’s character is explaining how they’ll sneak a dead body out of the hotel, he’s so on the ball with the details, one of the guys asks him, “Have you done this before?”

I remember watching _Heathers_ at a friend’s house around 1990-1991. During the movie his mother kept telling us what a sick movie it was and she shouldn’t be allowing us to watch it. She let us finish it. Now his father made us turn _The Kentucky Fried_ movie off.

But there was the opportunity to kill 50, maybe 60 people!
