Speaking of Citizen of the Galaxy:

Is there any connection between Thorby being Rudbek of Rudbek at Rudbek, or “Rudbek Cubed” and Rubik’s Cube (invented in 1974, I think)? I’ve wondered that for years…

One novel that I personally love besides Door Into Summer is Job: A Comedy of Justice. It’s a fairly interesting story with a look at religion that wavers between gentle criticism (the main character is a fundamentalist, but is portrayed wholly as the sympathetic protagonist) and outright thumbing its nose at evangelical Christianity. It’s a fun book with some interesting theological arguments.
