I had to get something off my chest, and looking at the rules, it appears this is the place to do it. Four days ago, a user called **Esco** posted a thread in the “In My Humble Opinion” section, wherein he revealed he was in a relationship with a successful young businesswoman in her 20s, but who had a serious coke habit. He asked whether he should stay with the woman, or leave her. An overwhelming majority of Dopers who posted on the thread, over 90% by my count, urged him to get out of the relationship as there was a serious chance she would escalate her addiction and start _stealing_ his hard-earned money to continue her cocaine habit. However, he repeatedly and stubbornly refused to listen, at one point just laughing off a user who asked whether he had seen any money missing, as if it was a laughing matter. In discussions with male friends, I’ve even heard them say this about themselves or other guys. “Bad decision dating that girl, but I was thinking with my dick” It just means you ignored red flags because someone is hot.
