This thread has gone about as I expected since I got\*\* Cosmic\*\*'s PM entitled “I’ve pitted you for your anti-male rhetoric”. Thanks, Dopers. I spend a lot of time with college kids and I’m so impressed with how idealistic and insightful they are. They give me hope for the future. I haven’t run across one like \*\*Cosmic. \*\* It makes me really sad to know there are such intolerant young people out there. **Cosmic** , if you truly are in college, it’s about growing as a person, not just earning a degree. Take a class outside your comfort zone, maybe a sociology or psych class on inequality or gender(gasp!), just one class. Discomfort means you’re _learning_. When you have over a dozen people telling you you’re wrong, while it’s easy to dismiss us as “libtards”, it’s possible the problem is you. I’ve been on boards a very long time and have made a lot of stupid posts, and have deservedly gotten beaten down for them. But I’ve also learned a lot from those experiences. I sincerely hope you’ve taken \*something \*from this, even if it’s just the realization that you have a lot to learn. ---
