What was the deal with the “Goblin machine” in the movie, anyway? Osborne (Willem Defoe) lies down on an automated metal bed-a-ma-jig (over the reluctant objections of Mendel Strom, as played by Ron Perkins) the slides horizontally into a large gas chamber, then raises itself so he’s in an almost-standing position. Then he gets gassed, stuff goes haywire, etc. Strom vents the gas then… he walks up to the chamber, climbs a few stairs, opens a door and steps inside to check on Osborne. [Here’s the scene.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJxj46b24oY) _If the chamber has stairs and a doorway, why did Osbourne have to build and then ride a robotic operating table to get inside?_ Well, also after he chugs the catalyst, he smashes the bottle on the floor like he’s at a Greek restaurant, but no matter. ---

Which is the one with doctor octopus? I didn’t watch any of them, but fun fact: I was an extra in the one with doc oc. The scene where he busts into the bank. Also, some other scene I’m in my car, but I doubt I’d be visible/distinguishable since I was deep background in a traffic jam (though look for an beat up 80’s BMW 733). ---

**Impossibly Easy Cheeseburger Pie** Ingredients 1 pound lean (at least 80%) ground beef 1 large onion, chopped 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese 1/2 cup Original Bisquick® mix 1 cup milk 2 eggs Directions Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray. In 10-inch skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain. Stir in salt. Spread in pie plate. Sprinkle with cheese. In small bowl, stir remaining ingredients with fork or wire whisk until blended. Pour into pie plate. Bake about 25 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. ---

Music is an interesting one for me. Cocaine seems to _change_ just how I hear music. I’ve theorized before that it’s because the stimulant effects are heightening your hearing and the individual components of the music are heard, whereas normally you’d just hear the effects that those combined components produce. I don’t know if that makes any sense but it’s the closest I could do.
